When should I use Ceremonial Cacao?
Whilst ceremonial cacao is often received in a communal space (see ‘What is a cacao ceremony?’), it is also often experienced as a solo experience or in a partnership.
One of our favourite ways to experience ceremonial cacao is in solitude with the self. The stillness and reflection that comes from experiencing cacao by oneself, whilst different to the collective energy of a group, can be a deeply profound experience.
Experiencing sacred cacao in a simple partnership can also be an expansive experience. Sitting with a friend or partner and bringing each other into the highest vibrational state by simply asking what each other are grateful for – this simple practice is every bit as profound and meaningful and can be accomplished in a short visit or incorporated into other practices as a partnership.
A full ceremony can also be carried out with just two people – there are no rules other than to follow your intuition, unapologetically.
Whether experienced as an accompaniment to a solo daily meditation, with a friend, small group of friends or in a large community circle, ceremonial cacao is a powerful tool that beautifully interweaves with energy work. Before engaging with energy work such as breath work, meditation, sound healing, journalling, visualisation or any energy healing, we recommend lovingly and intentionally making your cacao then sitting in stillness, sipping on your cup of cacao with specific intention to ignite and amplify creativity and passion and to bring clarity to your inner work.
